What should we pay attention to when using white brown rope?

White brown rope is generally used for lifting light components and as cable wind ropes and slip ropes with little stress.

White brown rope is made from sisal stem fibers twisted into threads, the threads are twisted into strands, and then the strands are twisted into ropes. White brown rope generally has three strands, four strands and nine strands. There are also differences between oil immersed and non-oil immersed. Oil-soaked white palm rope is not easy to rot, but the material becomes hard and difficult to bend, and its strength is 10% to 20% lower than that of non-oil-soaked rope. Therefore, it is rarely used in hoisting operations. The non-oil-impregnated white palm rope has good elasticity and strength in a dry state, but it is easy to rot when it gets wet, so its service life is short.

When using white brown rope, you should pay attention to:

(1) When the white-brown rope is threaded around the pulley, the diameter of the pulley should be greater than 10 times the diameter of the rope.

(2) When the rolled white brown rope is used, the rope roll should be laid flat on the ground, put the side with the rope end underneath, pull out the rope end from the roll, and then cut it according to the required length. Before cutting, the white and brown ropes on both sides of the cutting opening should be tied tightly with thin iron wire or hemp rope to prevent the cable heads from loosening after cutting.

(3) If the white-brown rope becomes kinked during use, try to straighten it, otherwise the rope will easily break when stretched. The white and brown rope with knots should not pass through narrow places such as pulleys to prevent the rope from being subject to additional pressure and reducing its strength.

(4) The white brown rope should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated place to avoid rot, and should not be in contact with paint, acid, alkali and other chemicals to prevent corrosion.

(5) When using white-brown rope, try to avoid dragging it on rough components or on the ground. When tying components with sharp edges, they should be lined with sacks, wooden boards, etc.
